Adopt a Child

Britt Family adoption court date, October 2021
We believe that God intended for every child to grow up in a loving family of his or her own. While Casa de Fe is not an adoption agency and does not process adoptions, we do cooperate with the Ecuadorian government’s national and international adoption program and policies. There are North American and European adoption agencies that are authorized to direct adoption programs in Ecuador. In order to adopt a child from Ecuador, the adoption must be processed by an Ecuadorian approved agency. There is no provision for private adoption in Ecuador.
Who can adopt in Ecuador?
Adopting from Ecuador is possible if you or your spouse meets the following criteria:
Ecuadorian citizens may apply to adopt by contacting the Technical Unit of Adoptions in your area, or contact the National Office of Adoptions at (02) 2572 308, Ext. 2418. Residents of Quito or the Province of Pichincha should call (02) 2902 575.
International/expat residents in Ecuador may be eligible to adopt via Ecuador’s national adoption program. Contact the National Office of Adoptions at the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion at (02) 2572 308, Ext. 2418.
If you are a citizen of: Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Italy or the United States, you may make application via the appropriate agency/agencies listed below.
If you do not live in Ecuador, and you do not live in one of the countries listed above, it is not possible for you to adopt from Ecuador at this time. The above countries are the only countries with valid contracts to process adoptions in Ecuador.
Additional requirements:

Age Requirements: If married, both parents must be over 25 years of age and have been married for more than three years. There must be an age difference of at least 14 years between the younger parent and the child and no more than 45 years between either parent and the child.
