Tatiana

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights

of all who are destitute.  Speak up and judge fairly.

Defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Proverbs 31: 8-9

Out of all the children God has brought to Casa de Fe I believe Tatiana has changed the most.

Tatiana was brought to Casa de Fe by a concerned neighbor who had seen her from time to time coming out from under the house where she was living with the dogs.

Tatiana was born with moderate cerebral palsy but with little or no stimulation at the age of 3 was not yet walking or talking. She got around by sliding in a sitting passion from place to place. Her father had died and her mother was remarried, her step father didn't want her so she was given to an uncle who didn't have the time or love in his heart to give her proper care.
A year and a half ago when Tati first started therapy she tried to bite the therapist. But in no time she was feeding herself and learning to crawl. A year ago in July, with the help of the CornerStone staff, I brought from the US a pediatric orthopedic walker within an hour she was speeding around the house exploring her new environment and within a month she had discarded the walker and was walking on her own.

Tatiana is a beautiful precious gift from God.

Remember those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
