Rosa

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights

of all who are destitute.  Speak up and judge fairly.

Defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Proverbs 31: 8-9

Meet Baby Rosa.  Rosa came to Casa de Fe as a four-day old on March 12, 2006.  She was born in the Amazon jungle with club feet , a deformed hand, and swallowing problems.  Her mother brought her to Hospital Vozandes in Shell for medical help.  Baby Rosa would have been drowned by tribal leaders had her mother returned with her because of their belief that deformed children bring bad luck.  Rosa's mother returned to the jungle alone, and Rosa found her new home with Patti Sue.
For he will deliver the needy who cry out the afflicted who have no one to help.   He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.  He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.   Psalm 72: 12-14
